Course Fees
(Applicable to all courses)

In New Castle, DE: $500 per trainee

At Customers Premises (Max. 8 trainees): $800 plus Travel & Hotel Expenses

Note:
  • Please call our Service Manager at (302) 328-8020 to book your course and to get details of available dates.
  • Customized courses can be arranged. Please discuss these with your Area Sales Manager or call our Service Manager, who will make the necessary arrangements.
  • Hotel expenses are not included. We can provide a list of suitable local accommodations.
  • Lunch and refreshments will be provided for trainees for all New Castle, DE location courses.
  • All bookings must be confirmed in writing.
  • Invoices are sent upon completion of the course. Payment is required within 30 days from date of invoice.
  • There will be no charge for the cancellation of a booking or transfer to a later event, provided the request is received no less than 14 days prior to the start of the course. If the cancellation or transfer occurs after this time then 75% of the full course fee is applicable. Substitution of an alternative trainee is allowed at any time.

COURSE 1

Machine Familiarization and Basic Setting
Duration: 2 Days (9:30am - 4:30pm)

People who should attend:
Mold installers, molding technician trainees, first line molding technicians.

Skill level:
Trainees should have a basic knowledge of the machines and the injection molding process. Please note that the course does not cover lifting and installation of the mold.

Objectives:
Trainees should attain the ability and confidence to efficiently set the machine to achieve a consistent product with care and consideration given to the machine, material and mold tool.

Syllabus:

  • Process Overview
  • Machine Construction and Operator Safety Systems
  • Control System EL-2000
  • Clamp unit set-up and mold protection
  • Basic ejection and core pull set-up
  • Injection and plasticizing theory and set-up
  • Effect of holding pressure and duration of application
  • Basic trouble shooting

COURSE 2

Machine and Process Optimization
Duration: 2 Days (9:30am - 4:30pm)

People who should attend:
Process technicians, team leaders, supervisors, foreman and managers.

Skill level:
Trainees should have a good knowledge of the process and machines, preferably with several years of molding experience. The course includes both theory and practical demonstration.

Objectives:
Trainees should gain the ability and knowledge to optimize processing conditions, machine capability, advanced machine functions, trouble shoot problem areas and identify material from a raw state to comply with production requirements.

Syllabus:

  • Brief overview of machine construction, operator protection and the control systems
  • Navigating the control system EL-2000
  • Quality control and process analysis
  • Optimization of clamp unit set-up and mold protection
  • Advanced ejection and core pull set-up
  • Theory and optimization of the plasticizing and injection phases
  • Alternative methods of injection change-over
  • Polymer classification – Amorphous and Crystalline
  • Trouble shooting

COURSE 3

Canbio Machine Maintenance & Diagnostics
Duration: 2 Days (9:30am - 4:30pm)

People who should attend:
Qualified and/or experienced maintenance engineers.

Skill level:
Trainees should have a good understanding of machine maintenance, fault finding, electrical and hydraulic systems and drawings.

Objectives:
Trainees should gain the ability to follow the Canbio machines hydraulic and electrical drawings, understand the general operation of the control system, utilize the onboard diagnostics systems, replace some of the control boards and perform some calibrations.

Syllabus:

  • Introduction to Negri Bossi
  • General overview of the machines physical layout
  • General introduction to the Dimi EL2000 control system
  • The use of the machines alarm systems
  • The use of the machines diagnostic systems
  • Operation of the machines safety systems
  • Maintenance of the machines safety systems
  • Maintenance of mechanical parts
  • Maintenance of the hydraulic system
  • The operation of the automatic toggle lubrication system
  • The hydraulic circuit
  • All the electrical diagrams supplied with the machine
  • Electrical diagnostics
  • Some machine calibrations
  • Power supplies
  • Diagnosing faulty control boards
  • Replacing faulty control boards

COURSE 4

Vector Machine Maintenance & Diagnostics
Duration: 2 Days (9:30am - 4:30pm)

People who should attend:
Qualified and/or experienced maintenance engineers.

Skill level:
Trainees should have a good understanding of machine maintenance, fault finding, electrical and hydraulic systems and drawings.

Objectives:
Trainees should gain the ability to follow the Vector machines hydraulic and electrical drawings, understand the general operation of the control system, utilize the onboard diagnostics systems, replace some of the control boards and perform some calibrations.
